Your donations help us offer you more!
San Diego ACM SIGGRAPH brings you monthly tutorials, workshops, and presentations. Food and drink are included at our monthly meetings, and we also provide you with digital documents and assets, as well as materials for hands-on learning, including microprocessor/electrical components, craft materials, and presentation materials. All this costs money, and we certainly appreciate any donation you can provide.
Currently, donations are needed for the following:
- BlinkM LED lights with integrated micro-computers. These can be considered to be some of the smallest microprocessors in the world, and we use them to teach color theory and microprocessor programming. With these lights, we also purchase CR2032 batteries, and wires.
- Various types of cardboard and thick card-stock paper. We use this in our 3d and microprocessor classes, showing Chapter members and visitors how to transform digital 3d models to complex physical forms that integrate with the environment and/or with microprocessor/electrical components.
- We are saving up for an Apple 27" or 30" monitor that we can use at our Coffee-shop tutorials and workshops. We can get one for about $450 on eBay.
If you are able to share a donation, you can use the button below to link safely to our PayPal account. Thank you.
Note: You can also use this payment method to pay for you annual Chapter membership (currently $20/year); just be sure to use the payment notes/details field to mention that this is a membership payment and the name and email of the person who will receive the membership.
